Pat Piper has made a career learning something new. As a journalist in the news business, “something new” occurs every hour so he’s becoming an expert at understanding stuff he never thought about. Admiration of Nothingness

By on March 25, 2017 in See It Here

    Memo to:

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (and you can include the author of “The Art of the Deal” in this too).

    You have my admiration.

Never in the history of the world has a group spent so much time bloviating/lecturing/ranting about how horrible something is while doing absolutely nothing to make it better.

There’s nothing wrong with hating the Affordable Care Act from the get-go-seven years ago. Each of you used every speech on the House and Senate floor, every Republican Weekly Address, every campaign Q/A and every town hall to tell us that “Obamacare” sucks.

It was beautiful, sometimes eloquent and everyone who spent more than thirty seconds tuning in clearly understood you had a problem with it.

A brief history lesson: The Republicans in the House voted 60 times to repeal “Obamacare” while Barack Obama was president. And now, after seven years of this charade, it has suddenly dawned on someone there oughta be a follow up to the non-stop banter of “repeal.” You know, something like an idea…or a well thought out plan to replace the ACA.

Taxpayers pay you a minimum of $174,000 to do this.

I keep thinking one has to try to reach this level of utter and complete incompetence but each of you was able to accomplish this without any effort at all.

    You are making America “grate”….again.
