    Coronavirus Lessons

By on March 18, 2020 in See It Here

This has suddenly become very serious and something that Fake News is getting right every now and then.

It teaches us a number of things and I will list them here since we need to do the social distance thing:

    (1) There is usually a daily briefing by members of the Coronavirus Task Force which involves 10 or more in the White House Briefing Room. Although the Trump administration says no more than 10 people in any gathering, this stuff is important and so any chance to provide an example really isn’t needed.

    (2) The Task Force is composed of experts who are on the front lines of finding a solution for the country as the coronavirus has now spread to all 50 states. It begins with President Trump wasting everyone’s time with the usual adjectives of “fantastic” and “incredible” to describe the White House response. The experts have to wait so this information probably isn’t really needed. It’s like waiting for the warm-up band to get off the stage after an hour before the main act begins.

    (3) There are always a few lines about how Obama screwed everything up and made the issue all the more difficult to fix.

    (4) And on St. Patrick’s Day, Mr. Trump showed his foresight that was apparently missed by many when he said he thought it was a pandemic long before the World Health Organization called it the same thing a week earlier. All this time I was remembering his January 22nd statement that it’s under control and is the result of just one guy coming to the U.S. from China.

Obviously we need to improve our hearing. Hopefully, this won’t require President Trump to yell louder.
