In this Donald Trump world of “moron-crooked Hillary-disaster” usually followed by “OK?”, there are moments when sanity can be seen.
If you look away from the stupid hat and up, there is a satellite named Juno that left our planet almost five years ago on a 1.7 billion mile trek to Jupiter. While traveling at 160,000 miles an hour–faster than anything humans have designed has ever moved, Juno was given a command on July 4th to slow down as it approached the largest planet in our atmosphere. It did just that and after 35 minutes, the satellite went into orbit where it will remain for the next 20 months.
Sometimes, it’s healthy to look up amid the nonsense that can be seen in front of us. Note to the presumptive nominee: America was great five years ago and it’s been doing pretty well since then too.
